HOW DOES IT WORK?

Ultraformer HIFU uses targeted ultrasound energy to create thermal neocollagenesis throughout the layers of the skin, resulting in collagen regeneration and the reduction of fat cells. The technology produces 65-75 degrees heat coagulation within the cell to stimulate the healing process and the production of collagen and elastin. The result? More youthful looking skin through fat reduction and improved skin firmness.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

Although both desired and competitive results for facial lifting and tightening and body contouring will likely show over the course of 3 months after receiving treatment, patients may still experience slight redness for a few hours as well as swelling or tingling in either treatment area of focus for up to a few weeks. There may also be bruising and numbness on treated areas but should resolve 2-4 weeks following procedure.

IS THERE ANY PAIN DURING THE TREATMENT?

Many patients and practitioners report that the Ultraformer III, in comparison with other devices, delivers minimal pain with slight discomfort to the face or body, though sensations quickly subside immediately following treatment.

WHAT DOES THE TREATMENT INVOLVE?

Prior to your treatment a through consultation and assesment will be completed to ensure your suitability for treatment and to lay out a personalised treatment plan.

Your practitioner will apply an ultrasound gel & perform multiple passes on the ULTRAFORMER III, working at various depths to tarted the correct layes of treatment.

After the treatment a cooling mask will be applied and home care discussed.

You can expect to experience two phases of Ultraformer results:

First, you will feel an immediate tightening of your skin in the treated area, as the heat from the Micro-Focused Ultrasound contracts the network of collagen fibres. The strands of protein that make up collagen shrink when exposed to the levels of heat used in Ultraformer treatment like a sausage in a microwave.

Next, the Micro-Focused Ultrasound will stimulate other cells, called Fibroblasts, to manufacture new, stronger collagen. This gradually develops over a period of months. The result are seen 3-6 months later as a gradual lifting of the skin in the treated area, as the support structures fill out.

Ultraformer benefits will peak between six and nine months after treatment. The new collagen produced will be stronger, and its structure more ‘youthful’ than previously. This in turn makes your skin stronger and better supported, helping to reverse the effects of ageing.
