HOW DOES IT WORK?

TOSKANI combined peels address many common skin concerns and renew the skin by using a combination of acids.

Glycolic Acid - promotes the exfoliation of superficial layers of the skin. It stimulates celll renewal, increases hydration levels and strengthens the skin’s natural barrier function. It has a great ability to penetrate the skin due to its small molecular size.

Citric Acid - has powerful properties including antioxidants, which help to protect skin from oxydative stress, depigmentation and antiaging. It prevents the appearance of spots and fine wrinkles, thus improving skin’s tone and texture.

Lactic Acid - has lightening & brightening effect on the skin and stimulates an increase in skin thickness. It promotes the increasing of hyaluronic acid concentration further boosting skin hydration and firmness.

Azelaic Acid - has antibacterial and disinfectant properties. It is used to clean pores and blackheads because it reduces bacteria, which affects the face and other areas such as the chest & back. It also reduces keratin production and improves some typical symptoms of acne such as spots, itching and redness.

Pyruvic Acid - Pyruvic acid is great for sun damage, ageing and skin laxity because it increases the thickness of epidermis and dermis while in encourages the growth of new collagen and elastic fibres. This results in a tighter, smoother and with a more even tone skin.

Kojic Acid - functions as a skin brightener, improving the appearance of pigmentation spots, softening freckles and unifying skin’s tone.

Salicylic Acid - Powerful keratolytic action with antiseptic, descaling, anti-itch and anti-inflammatory effect. Great for anyone suffering with acne or congestion.

WHAT DOES THE TREATMENT INVOLVE?

The skin is cleansed and prepared to aid penetration of active ingredients.

The TOSKANI combined peel is then applied in layers and left on the skin for up to 10 minutes. This may tingle and warm the skin whilst the peel is in place. After this we neutralise the skin returning it to its natural PH level.

A cooling and soothing TOSKANI algae & spirulina mask is applied and left on the skin for 10-15 minutes.

The treatment is completed by application of powerful ingredients to target your specific skin needs including anti-ageing, hydration, pigmentation and acne.

LED Light Therapy can be applied as an optional extra to further boost results.
